Origin & Sourcing
This whole bean coffee comes from the Tolima Highlands of Colombia, a respected coffee-growing region known for producing balanced, sweet, and aromatic coffees.
The coffee is grown at high elevation, approximately 1,500–2,100 meters above sea level. Higher elevation growing conditions often allow coffee cherries to mature more slowly, helping develop sweetness, structure, and more complex flavor in the cup.
This Colombian coffee is Excelso EP grade, a screen-size classification commonly used for Colombian export coffees. It is washed and sun dried, creating a clean, consistent cup with clarity, sweetness, and balanced acidity.
Brewing Guide
This Colombian medium roast works well across several brewing methods, including drip coffee, pour-over, French press, AeroPress, and espresso-style brewing.
A good starting point is a 1:16 to 1:17 coffee-to-water ratio. For example, use 20 grams of coffee with 320–340 grams of water.
For drip coffee, use a medium grind and clean filtered water. For pour-over, use a medium-fine grind and water around 200°F, starting with a short bloom before pouring in stages. For French press, use a coarse grind and a longer steep time to bring out the chocolate body. For AeroPress, use a medium-fine grind and adjust the brew time depending on whether you want a brighter or fuller cup.
For the freshest flavor, grind your beans right before brewing and avoid grinding the whole bag at once.
