Origin & Sourcing
This whole bean coffee comes from the Kintamani Highlands of Central Bali, a volcanic growing region known for producing distinctive coffees with depth, body, and earthy sweetness.
The coffee is grown at approximately 1,200–1,600 meters above sea level in volcanic loam soil. These growing conditions can help create a cup with structure, richness, and a smooth finish.
This Bali Blue coffee includes Bourbon, Typica, and Catimor varieties. It is hand-picked, wet-hulled, and sun dried. Wet-hulling is a traditional processing method used in parts of Indonesia that often creates a fuller body, lower acidity, and deeper flavor profile.
Brewing Guide
This Bali Blue medium-dark roast works especially well as drip coffee, French press, pour-over, AeroPress, and espresso-style brewing.
A good starting point is a 1:16 to 1:17 coffee-to-water ratio. For example, use 20 grams of coffee with 320–340 grams of water.
For drip coffee, use a medium grind and clean filtered water. For French press, use a coarse grind and a longer steep time to bring out the full body and chocolate notes. For pour-over, use a medium grind and water around 200°F, starting with a short bloom before pouring slowly in stages. For AeroPress, use a medium-fine grind and adjust the brew time depending on whether you want a richer or cleaner cup.
For the freshest flavor, grind your beans right before brewing and avoid grinding the whole bag at once.
